Arts Center Management Announces the 2025 Broadway at LPAC Season Lineup

The popular Lauderhill Performing Arts Center Series kicks off its blockbuster three-show season in January 2025.

ACM Theatricals, a division of Arts Center Management, will once again partner with the City of Lauderhill to produce the Broadway at LPAC Series at the Lauderhill Performing Arts Center.   The 2025 lineup will feature the musicals 9 to 5, Legally Blonde, and Rodgers and Hammerstein’s South Pacific. Subscriptions are on sale beginning May 1. Single tickets will go on sale September 1!

JUDY KUHN SINGS BROADWAY SONGS, SHARES STORIES ON HER 40 YEAR CAREER IN FILMS AND MUSICALS

Actress/singer Judy Kuhn, known for her emotional phrasing of a song, will be singing 15 plus songs from Broadway musicals and films in concert on Sunday,, February 18 at 7 p.m. at Aventura Arts & Cultural Center in Aventura. The concert is part of the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center 2024 Broadway Concert Series that continues on March 10 with Broadway singer Melissa Errico.

How Tyler Johnson Grimes Gave New Life To ‘A Christmas Ghost Story’

Though Tyler Johnson Grimes hasn’t always been the biggest fan of A Christmas Carol, he also didn’t find it hard to start getting excited about putting his own spin on the classic story. After his successful, Carbonell-nominated turn as the sound and Foley designer of last season’s radio play version of It’s A Wonderful Life, Grimes was tapped by New City Players’ team of artistic leaders to write an original adaptation of Charles Dickens’ famous holiday tale, a task for which his extensive background in playwriting left him exceptionally well prepared.

Welcome to the Carbonell’s: South Florida’s Biggest Theater Night is a Hit!

I must admit when South Florida Theater Magazine (who I’m proud to say is a sponsor of this prestigious event) first invited me to cover THE 46th ANNUAL CARBONELL AWARDS on November 13, I was somewhat intimidated. The journalist in me immediately googled former Carbonell Award nights (these can be defined as a regional version of Broadway’s Tonys – but far more inclusive of smaller theaters and experimental work). I landed on a short video of my editor, Jessie Dez, as gorgeous and glammed up as any Access Hollywood reporter, conducting pre-show interviews with similarly gowned and evening-wear attired nominees.
