(South Florida – February 6, 2023) Gary Schweikhart, board president of the Carbonell Awards, South Florida’s Theatre & Arts Honors, today reminded college-bound high school students that the nonprofit organization is now accepting applications for its 2023 Jack Zink Memorial Student Scholarships. The deadline to apply has been extended to Monday, February 13, 2023. Since 1978, the Carbonell Awards has given out more than $120,000 in scholarships to winning applicants.
National Society of Arts and Letters (NSAL) of Florida, based in Boca Raton, is seeking young actors to apply for the drama competition. Every year, the national NSAL organization selects one discipline as the key competition. FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (November 21, 2022) – Tri-Rail, South Florida’s premier commuter rail system, invites talented kids ages 5 to 17 to audition for “South Florida’s Kids Got Talent,” a singing competition held as part of Tri-Rail’s “Rail Fun Day.” Young singers from Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties are encouraged to audition for the chance to compete in the judged event. Auditions will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, December 10, at Galleria Fort Lauderdale (2414 East Sunrise Boulevard).
