SIX welcomed its newest royals Brennyn Lark and Keri René Fuller August 9 at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre. See them take their first curtain call below.
Bre Jackson (The Color Purple, The Book of Mormon), who was scheduled to take on the role of Catherine of Aragon, was out of the production August 9 due to a non-COVID related sickness and will make her debut with the production in the coming days. Catherine Parr, Henry’s sixth and final wife, is now portrayed by Lark (Les Miserables, Dreamgirls), with Fuller (Jagged Little Pill, Waitress) as Jane Seymour, who died in childbirth as Henry’s third wife. Also joining are new alternates Holli’ Conway and Ayla Ciccone-Burton.
The three join the company following the August 7 departure of original cast members Adrianna Hicks and Abby Mueller, who Fuller stepped in for earlier this year, and Joy Woods on July 31. Continuing to star in the show are original cast members Andrea Macasaet, Brittney Mack, and Samantha Pauly as Anne Boleyn, Anna of Cleves, and Katherine Howard, respectively.
SIX, created by Tony winners Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, follows the six wives of King Henry VIII of England in a historical remix that turns the Tudor royals into pop queens. Marlow and Moss won the 2022 Tony Award for Best Original Score, and the show’s costume designer, Gabriella Slade, took home the award for Best Costume Design. Co-directed by Moss and Jamie Armitage, the musical features set design by Emma Bailey, costume design by Gabrielle Slade, lighting design by Tim Deiling, and sound design by Paul Gatehouse.
