 began her artistic career in Mexico City in the productions of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Rent, Phantom of the Opera and Chicago. For her portrayal of Roxie Hart in Chicago, Bianca received five awards from the Mexican Critics Associations including New Revelation and Best Actress. She played the role of Maria Rainer in Mexico City’s hit production of The Sound of Music marking her official return to the Mexican Stages after six years. In the summer of 2010, she appeared back on Broadway when she joined the Tony® Award winner company of In the Heights in the role of Daniela. She made her debut album as a singer/song writer with EL MUNDO ERA MIO and went on to record a second album: NUESTROS TESOROS.

New York City Ballet Principal Dancer Megan Fairchild joins us in conversation with Steven Caras (photographer and former NYCB dancer) to discuss her recent book The Ballerina Mindset: How to Protect Your Mental Health While Striving for Excellence. Fairchild knows very well how to juggle many responsibilities such as holding the top rank with the largest ballet company in the U.S. and being a mother of three-all under the age of four. She does all this with grace and kindness, and her infectious humor will inspire ballet fans and those new to the art form alike.

Exploring a sound they call Americana funk, TWISTED PINE takes traditional music in exhilarating directions. Their bluegrass is jazzy, indie folk is poppy and grooves are funky. “They were once bluegrass,” wrote The Boston Globe “but this Boston band has become something else, a wider version of string band, boundary jumpers akin to outfits like Punch Brothers, Nickel Creek and Crooked Still.”
