Singer Tali Lubie Brings Joyful Spirit to Israel’s 77th Birthday Gala at Aventura Turnberry Jewish Center

 Aventura Turnberry Jewish Center in Aventura  will be leading a number of South Florida organizations celebrating Israel Day (in Hebrew Yom Haatzmaut) in grand style on Thursday, May 1 at 6:30 p.m. with a concert starring Argentinian singer Tali Lubie along with dinner and a meet and greet with Lubie.

   The title of Lubie’s concert is “Am Israel Chai: A Musical History of Israel”” features many joyous, upbeat songs that personifies the English translation of “Israel Lives”. While Lubie will be singing live, the audience will also see the songs augmented by photos and videos citing Israel’s achievements from its founding as a nation in 1948.

   “I have been performing the ‘Am Israel Chai’ concert  around the world for over a year. Being from Argentina and Jewish, I am proud of all that Israel is and all that Israel has done for all of us on her birthday for all the years,” said Lubie.

   The 60 to 90 minute concerts will showcase Lubie singing over 20 songs in English, Hebrew, Spanish and Yiddish. Her song selections includes the popular songs “Am Yisrael Chai”, “Avinu Malkeinu”, “Hatikvah” (Israel’s national anthem”, “October Rain”,  “Yachad”, “Salam” “Shehecheyanu” and “Yachad” among other songs.

   Lubie, shortened from her given surname Lubieniecki, has recorded many of the songs she will perform at the ATJC concert in her 2024 CD titled “An Israel Chai”.

   “The songs also pay tribute to some of the world’s best singers who made these songs famous, such as Shlomo Carlbach (“Am Yisrael Chai”), Ofra Haza (“Chai”) and Barbra Streisand (“Avinu Malkeinu”),”’ said Lubie.

   The 31-year-old Argentinian has been singing professionally as well as being an actress in musical theater. Her credits include performances in “Disney 100”, “Dracula”, “Hello Dolly” and “Rock of Ages”, among other shows.

   The gala “Am Israel Chai” Talie Lubie show is one of many celebrations in South Israel of Israel’s 77th birthday on May1. 

   Other celebrations include Celebrating Yom Haatzmaut at the Miami Beach Jewish Community Center in Miami Beach with a recreated journey to Israel including climbing Masada and dancing to an Israeli beat on Thursday May 1 from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. Also in Miami Beach, The Tribe young Jewish adult 20-40 group will be hosting a Yom Haatzmaut party with food bites at Tropezon Court in Miami Beach. 

   Michael-Ann Rusell Jewish Community Center in North Miami Beach will have a concert in honor of Israel’s fallen heroes on Wednesday, April 30 at 7:30 pm and Scheck Hillel Community School in North Miami Beach will have a free Yom Haatzmaut concert featuring Israeli singer Noam Bouskila.

   Argentinian singer Tali Lubie performs in concert “Am Israel Chai”, a 60-90 minute concert featuring more than 20 songs with videos illustrating the history of Israel from 1948 to the present at Aventura Turnberry Jewish Center, 20400 NE 30th Ave. in Aventura. Tickets range from $54 with discounts for children under 18 and families.
