Brevo Theatre and Island City Stage Present “The Brothers Size”

Brévo Theatre (@brevo_theatre) and Island City Stage (@islandcitystage1) are proud to present the next edition to the “Dans Le Avant Garde” series with “The Brothers Size,” by Tarell Alvin McCraney. This contemporary tale explores the fragility of liberty and the need to belong somewhere, to something, to someone. The show preview will take place on June 22 at 7 p.m., with opening night on June 23 at 7 p.m. Other showtimes include June 24 at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m., and June 25 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. The performances will take place at Island City Stage located at 2304 N. Dixie Highway in Wilton Manors, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, 33305. Ticket prices for the June 22 preview is $20.00 with the remaining shows at $35.00. Two beloved South Florida Cantors, Israel Rosen of Temple Solel in Hollywood and Rachelle Nelson of Temple Israel in Miami, each will be honored for lifetime achievements by their congregations in two musical events this weekend.

The event for Rosen titled “From Broadway to The Bimah” is a Jewish traditional Friday night Shabbat service that will take place on Friday, May 19 at 7:30 p.m. at Temple Solel.

Miami. This leading contemporary company brings their Program III on Thursday, May 11 to Lake Worth’s Duncan Theatre, on Friday, May 12 to Broward Center’s Amaturo Theater, and on Saturday, May 13 to the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center. The performances will feature a restaging of Joffrey Ballet’s boundary-breaking work, The Relativity of Icarus, and the world premiere of their own new piece, Gli Altri/The Others.
