From February 15 to March 3, theatergoers at the Lauderhill Performing Arts Center (LPAC) got a show-stopping glimpse into the “soul of rock ‘n’ roll.” Memphis, the award-winning musical that dazzled audiences for years on Broadway before moving on to a national tour and West End run, is back for its third showing in South Florida. Third time is certainly the charm for this phenomenal production, as its cast received a special surprise—a visit from Joe DiPietro, who wrote the book and co-wrote the lyrics for Memphis (with Bon Jovi legend David Bryan).

HELLO, DOLLY! – Part of the 2024 LPAC Broadway Series. This musical adaptation of Thornton Wilder’s hit play The Matchmaker bursts with humor, romance, energetic dance, and some of the greatest songs in musical theatre history. The romantic and comic exploits of Dolly Gallagher-Levi, turn-of-the-century matchmaker and “woman who arranges things,” are certain to thrill and entertain audiences again and again.

West Palm Beach, Fla. – One of Palm Beach Dramaworks’ most inspiring evenings, the presentation of the winning plays of the Young Playwrights 10-Minute Play Contest (YPC), took place at the Don & Ann Brown Theatre on Wednesday, February 28. The 10 winning plays received staged readings by professional actors in front of an enthusiastic audience.

Pompano Beach Arts is very proud to be hosting the world-premiere experience Intersection: Painting and Music on April 28, 2024 at 7 pm at the Pompano Beach Cultural Center.
