LOCAL CABARET ARTISTS TO PREMIERE “DOUBLE TROUBLE”, A NEW COMEDIC PLAY

Local Cabaret artists to premiere “Double Trouble”, a new comedic play, at the Center for Spiritual Living in Oakland Park, Florida! Tickets to see Jennifer McClain and Eric Swanson’s Cabaret are on sale now for opening weekend starting February 24th.

Twin sisters Mimi and Minnie Bouvèé haven’t spoken in decades! After years of success in show business as kids, one of them left to get married and the other to pursue the spotlight alone. But life hasn’t been so perfect for Minnie Bouvèé as her career is now on the fritz. Likewise, her sister Mimi isn’t so happy in the burbs after all! The death of their overbearing and controlling stage mother has caused the two to reunite at long last. As the funeral events unfold, a trip down memory lane results in laughter, show stopping songs, and the spark of sizzling sisterhood. Maybe they are exactly what each other needs! Double the dose of fun, double the belting, double the fabulousness; Double Trouble!

The cast is headlined by cabaret artists and theatrical veterans Jennifer McClain as Mimi Bouvèé and Eric Swanson as Minnie Bouvèé. The show is directed by Kalen Edean and music directed by Eric Alsford. Play by Robert LeLeux. The show features musical selections such as Sisters “White Christmas”, Bosom Buddies “Mame”, Ladies Who Lunch “Company”, Anything You Can Do, “Annie Get Your Gun” and more!

The show will play February 24, 25, 26 at 8:00 PM, and February 27 at 5:00 PM. The Center for Spiritual Living is located at 4849 N. Dixie Hwy. Oakland Park, FL 33334.
