RPM: A Night of One Acts

Art ON in conjunction with Miami Arts Studio REP presents RPM: A Night of One Acts. Written by Miami native playwright Ozzie Quintana, we follow two stories of machismo and feminism with a Cuban backdrop; almost a hundred years apart in time, but timeless in their content.

Woman in Battle, the first act and Quintana’s most recent play, defines the different interpretations of freedom using the stories of three women stuck in a Havana Prison during the Civil War. Act Two: Of Kings, which first premiered in 2018, throws you into the high-risk drag racing scene of early 90’s Miami, told through a local lens by characters you know all too well. These shows beautifully visualize the evolution of Cuban culture and its prominence, having both been revered as a Critics Choice at the One Acts festival, receiving over 20 awards combined.

RPM: A Night of One Acts is showing from July 21-24th in the MAS Black Box at Miami Arts Studio 6-12 @ Zelda Glazer. Tickets are now available for $20 on MAS.Booktix.com with evening shows starting at 8:00 PM and a Sunday show at 4:00 PM.
