Prepare to be swept away by the musical masterpiece Carousel at The Wick Theatre in Boca Raton. This iconic Rodgers and Hammerstein production features a treasure trove of timeless songs including “If I Loved You,” “Carousel Waltz,” “June is Bustin’ Out All Over,” and the anthemic “You’ll Never Walk Alone.” Adding to the theatrical presentation, The Wick will have a stunning, 10-seat carousel spinning in the lot outside the theater for guests to enjoy. The show runs February 29-March 24, 2024 with evening shows on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 7:30pm, and matinees on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays at 2pm. But in his latest role in Ryan Drake’s you don’t have to do anything, there’s something dangerous lying beneath his simple delivery. Something that even Dagger himself finds it difficult to face.
The much-anticipated 18th Annual Festival of the Arts BOCA is nearly here. The 10-day, 11-event series of lectures, concerts, a classic film with live soundtrack and other forms of entertainment kicks off March 1 at the Mizner Park Amphitheater, Boca Raton, where all major activities are scheduled.
Among its annual programming, Miami City Ballet is currently showing “Winter Mix,” a medley of four ballets, ranging from contemporary works to a famous Balanchine-choreographed piece, premiering first at the Kravis Center in West Palm Beach, then the Arsht Center in Miami, with the finale happening this weekend at the Broward Center in Ft. Lauderdale. With its wide range, “Winter Mix” has a little something for every type of viewer. The Boca International Jewish Film Festival presents the Southeast premiere of “The Trials of Alan Dershowitz” Saturday, Feb. 17 at 7 p.m. at The Studio at Mizner Park, 201 W. Plaza Real. Dershowitz and director, John Curtin, will attend and be part of a Q&A session following the film.
Actress/singer Judy Kuhn, known for her emotional phrasing of a song, will be singing 15 plus songs from Broadway musicals and films in concert on Sunday,, February 18 at 7 p.m. at Aventura Arts & Cultural Center in Aventura. The concert is part of the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center 2024 Broadway Concert Series that continues on March 10 with Broadway singer Melissa Errico.
