Playbill is featured in the NYC Pride March for the third consecutive year June 30 with a special Pride float decorated with Pride-themed Playbill covers, a suspended, holographic disco ball, and more. If you attend today’s march, be sure to wave at us, theatre fans!

The Playbill Pride float is the culmination of Playbill and Times Square Alliance’s third annual Pride in Times Square, which gathered stage and screen stars, Broadway shows, LGBTQIA+ non-profits, special Times Square business promotions, and more June 28-29 for a weekend-long event centered around NYC Pride weekend in Times Square between 45th and 47th streets—the heart of Broadway.

Pride in Times Square and Playbill’s float in the NYC Pride March are also part of our LGBTQIA+ Pride celebration throughout the entire month of June, which sees the iconic yellow Playbill logo change to a Pride rainbow on programs handed out on Broadway and at major theatres nationwide.

Past Pride in Times Square events have seen nearly 800,000 attendees, with social media coverage attracting more than 1 million impressions. The 2023 Pride March was attended by a staggering 2.4 million people. The third annual Pride in Times Square was presented by ViiV Healthcare and NYC Pride, with additional support from SUMMIT One Vanderbilt, The National LGBT Chamber of Commerce, The Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment, and MOTTO by Hilton NYC Times Square.
