Jasmine Amy Rogers stars in the musical with songs by David Foster and Susan Birkenhead.
Broadway’s BOOP! The Musical is getting a cast recording. The David Foster–Susan Birkenhead-Bob Martin musical will digitally release a Broadway cast album June 6, with CD and vinyl editions dropping the same day. The album is being produced by Foster and executive produced by Melody Place.
The musical, which opened April 5, continues its run at the Broadhurst Theatre. See what critics had to say about the new show here.
Tony winner Jerry Mitchell is directing and choreographing the new musical, which features a book by Martin, music by Foster, and lyrics by Birkenhead. Leading the cast in the title role is Jasmine Amy Rogers, as Betty Boop, who travels from her cartoon black-and-white world into modern day New York City to learn a little bit more about herself and bring inspiration to jaded New Yorkers.
