FORT LAUDERDALE – Slow Burn Theatre Company presents “Parade,” a powerful and poignant musical revival based on the true story of the trial and lynching of Leo Frank, as part of its 2024/2025 Season supported by American National Bank and Visit Lauderdale Saturday, February 8 – Sunday, February 23 in the Amaturo Theater at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts, including an open captioned performance on Sunday, February 16 at 2 p.m. and a series of post-performance chats with an ADL representative on Saturday, February 15, at 1 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, February 16, at 2 p.m.
World Premiere of Dance NOW Miami’s “Blue Pencil” February 28 at Miami Theater Center
Challenging political and social moments often lead to creative artistic responses. With the world premiere of Blue Pencil as part of Dance NOW! Miami’s (DNM) upcoming Program II, one of Florida’s leading contemporary ensembles tackles the issues of censorship and repression head-on. Created in collaboration with Portugal’s Dança em Diálogos, the public will have its first chance to see this new work Friday, February 28, at 8 pm at Miami Theater Center in Miami Shores.

AVON PARK, Fla. – Goodtime Tuesday Matinees begin Tuesday, Jan. 21, and run until March 18 with a 1:30 p.m. curtain.
“We have a variety of performances on Tuesdays and our Build Your Own ticket package offers discounts up to 22%,” said Cindy Garren, director of cultural programs. “Groups of 12 or more can save up to 50% on some shows, so we encourage folks to gather their friends and neighbors to save on single ticket prices.”
