A sold-out crowd of some 200 friends, colleagues and admirers of longtime public relations man Gary Schweikhart packed the Arts Garage in Delray Beach last Sunday with folks offering prayers, good will and a quick recovery to the PR professional nearly killed when a speeding car crashed into his house and pinned him under the vehicle.

Pompano Beach Arts is proud to announce an extraordinary new concert series produced by “Generation” Venetian Arts Society (GENVAS) specifically for the Pompano Beach Cultural Center. The Bell’Arte Concert Series, in its inaugural season, will consist of four fine arts salon-style concerts, each unique in topic and genre. Now, in its third year of producing one-act plays by local playwrights, the Delray Beach Playhouse’s Festival of New Plays 2022 will be held on October 22 and 23, 2022. Ten one-act plays by local Playwrights and read by local actors, showcase the diverse and talented theatrical community in South Florida.

Back by popular demand, Juggerknot Theatre Company, creators of “Miami Motel Stories” presents “The Blues Opera”, an autobiographical, immersive one-man-show written by Miami blues musician, Eric Garcia, AKA “Uncle Scotchy”. Returning on Wednesday, Sept. 21, after two months of sold out shows, this one-of-a-kind intimate performance opens to 12 guests at a time in a secret location in Little Havana. 

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (August 12, 2022) – Fort Lauderdale Gay Men’s Chorus (FTLGMC) will present “Life is a Cabaret” on Saturday, September 10, at 8 p.m. at United Church of Christ (2501 NE 30^th Street in Fort Lauderdale). The special concert will include a sentimental selection of favorite Broadway tunes and popular standards with live musical instrumentation.
