The Florida Intergenerational Orchestra – some 60 members strong – will proudly gather on stage Sunday afternoon to present “Encore,” a special musical performance marking 20 years of the group’s productions that have brought together musicians of all ages in shared presentations and community.
Singing, dancing and the fight against cancer will be in the spotlight March 7 as The Pap Corps Champions for Cancer Research present “Pap’s Got Talent” at 2 p.m. in the impressive Wold Performing Arts Center at Lynn University, 3601 N. Military Trail, Boca Raton.
The high-energy production promises to deliver a delightful display of artistry featuring talented members of The Pap Corps, many of whom have survived cancer or are performing in honor of someone they love. Proceeds will fund groundbreaking cancer research at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.

Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, the author’s celebrated tale of a wretched skinflint named Ebenezer Scrooge who finds lifesaving redemption with help from a bevy of ghostly apparitions on a fateful Christmas Eve in mid-19th century London, has returned for his attitude adjustment.
Only this time, the makeover is filled with song and dance. The version at the Wick Theatre in Boca Raton is a dynamic musical adaptation of Dickens’ original novella. The production, told in a single act split into multiple scenes, is drawn from a book by Mike Ockrent and Lynn Ahrens. It features a dozen delightful songs by master composers Ahrens and Alan Menken.
The Florida Intergenerational Orchestra encourages lovers of holiday music and dance and folks who cherish the most wonderful time of the year to celebrate the season of festivities with its ‘Holiday Concert Extravaganza’ on Sunday, Dec. 7 at 3 p.m. in O’Shea Hall at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 22094 Lyons Road, Boca Raton.
